Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume Lavolée reveals a Beaune in finesse and refreshing. Lulunne is taken from the name of the source present on the plot and which will give rise to this vintage. Mineral, elegant, with its floral and citrus notes, this vintage is a real pleasure for the wine lover.
At the time of the Gallo-Romans there was, on these lands, a spring with a small village built around it. Lulunne was the name of this source, which is still there today, hence its name. The plot is located at the bottom of the valley and separates the mountain of Pommard from that of Saint-Désiré, fine of Beaune.
Vineyard & Terroir: The chardonnay plot was planted in 1986, 0.24 hectares and is located at the top of the hill and is facing south. The vine is located on a clay-calcareous and silty soil.
Vinification & Ageing: After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed in a whole bunch for a long time and strongly. The juices, once deburred, are intoned in oak barrels where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation will take place thanks to natural yeasts also called indigenous, without batonnage. French oak barrels are renewed up to 20%.
After 12 months of ageing, the wine is extracted and will end up in a stainless steel tank for 6 more months
The wine is filtered before bottling.
Tasting: Pretty very fine nose where the floral notes of jasmine and lily mix with citrus notes. In the beginning it is light, the wine refreshing and elegant. The whole is exotic with a beautiful acidity and a good minerality
