The harvest, completely manual, usually begins in mid-September with a very accurate selection of the grapes harvested. For the Barolo Docg Bussia 2016, the Nebbiolo in the Michet and Lampia varieties comes exclusively from the various vineyards located in Bussia, in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. From vineyards that are at least 15-20 years old.

The vinification in red with maceration of the skins takes place in stainless steel tanks. Here the must remains in contact with the skins for 20-30 days, during which it completes the alcoholic fermentation. The new wine is poured several times before being put in oak barrels where it ages and is refined.

Always, following a rigourous family tradition, red wines are neither clarified nor filtered.

Red garnet in sight. Red berry fruit, sweet spices and flowers. Then also hints of undergrowth: the olfactory bouquet is sensual and refined. Equally fine and elegant is the palate, where the tannins are silky and integrate into a texture without edges. Full-bodied and round, it has a pleasant and flavourful finish.
